Cecelia learned Kolo Zita at the Folklife Festival, held in Seattle every year. A "WONDERFUL" teacher named Thea
Huijgen taught it to about 50 people for a family workshop. When her father-in-law visited from Colorado, (he had
started and taught many groups over the years and danced with the Buffalo N.Y. Folkdancers and then danced in
South Carolina and Virginia too.) he helped her with the dance, and sent her the syllabus and music, which matched
what she had learned in Seattle.
